This striking church was completed in 1979 in the shape of an upturned boat and the principles of naval construction are visible in the fish-scale slate and copper tile cladding and in the wooden timbers, reminiscent of Viking drakkars. The church is home to Renaissance stained-glass windows, salvaged from the former church of St Vincent, destroyed in 1944. The magnificent stained-glass illustrates the faith of 16C believers.
