Opis
Red is the definitive colour of the desolate but beautiful rocky landscape of these gorges that cut through the Mercantour to the south. The phenomenal powers of erosion of the Cians are increased tenfold during the flood season. The river has carved an amazing sequence of natural sculptures all along its 25km/15mi-course through the lower and upper gorges.
