TVB or "ti voglio bene" is Italian for "I love you," and fittingly there is so much to love about this concept. Tucked among an array of commercial shops, its façade is unmissable with its futuristic logo and colorful door. Inside, the space is lofty with a copper bar and muted tiles set against shades of blue.
There is a classic rusticity to the setting, not unlike its cuisine, which focuses on Roman-inspired items. Chef Cristian Petitta prepares some of the best pinsa in town, its puffy and crispy crust topped with a well-balanced tomato sauce, mozzarella and basil, full stop. Fettuccine ai porcini is properly sauced yet smoky; while risotto balls are a savory thrill. Entrées are limited but hearty; and simple desserts end the meal on a good note.
