The restaurant retains the look and feel of the early 20th century, when it was established. Old-school pride of workmanship shows in the sign boasting ‘Japan’s best eel’ and the passion of the artisans at work. This restaurant’s trademark dish is ‘Kinshidon’, a bowl of rice sprinkled with sauce, topped with kabayaki and covered with a large dashimaki tamago. À la carte dishes such as chawanmushi, grilled eel liver and uzaku are also available.
