In a scenic location in Prein an der Rax, at the foot of the Raxalpe and 6 km from the centre of Reichenau, Scharfegger's Raxalpenhof - Zuhause am Land features a large spa area with an indoor and an outdoor pool. Free WiFi is available in public areas. Rooms feature rustic wooden furniture, satellite TV, a minibar, and a bathroom. Bathrobes are provided in all rooms. The restaurant serves classic Austrian cuisine and local specialities, and features a wine cellar and an outdoor dining area in summer. The half-board option includes a 4-course dinner with a choice of 3 main dishes and a salad buffet. Scharfegger's Raxalpenhof - Zuhause am Land’s 2-floor spa area includes 6 different saunas, a steam bath, an infrared cabin, a hot tub, a steam bath, Kneipp basins, and a fitness room. Water comes from the hotel’s own spring containing calcium and magnesium. Massages and beauty treatments are offered. There is 1 free guided hiking tour per week and hiking sticks and bicycles are offered free of charge (subject to availability). Guests can also play tennis or use the bowling alley free of charge (subject to availability). The Rax Cable Car is a 10-minute drive away and guests get free tickets or reduced tickets during certain periods. On request, a transfer shuttle at certain times to the cable car is also offered.
