Located in a superb building by Gordon Bunshaft and recognisable by its distinctive cylindrical architecture, the Hirshhorn Museum houses one of the best-stocked collections of modern art in the country. A Sculpture Garden has been designed to showcase these pieces. All the great names in 20C European and American sculpture are present and correct, from Rodin and Calder to Moore and Hepworth.
