Opis
Founded in 1925 by George Hewitt Myers, the Textile Museum is dedicated to collecting, studying and preserving handmade textiles and carpets. Its holdings comprise more than 19 000 textiles, rugs and objects representing 5 000 years of history over five continents, including the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Native American nations. The 20 000 or so volumes of the Arthur D. Jenkins Library of Textile Arts constitute a precious resource.
