Opis
Located in the German Synagogue (Scuola Tedesca), this museum traces the history of Venice's Jewish community and houses precious objects of worship, whether ornamental or for handling the Scrolls, and embroidered vestments. Occupying the upper floors of various residential buildings, the other synagogues can be identified by their windows (five, the same number as books in the Torah) and the lanterns placed discretely under the roofs.
