Opis

This museum features different abodes transferred here and then turned into museums, in particular two stunning edifices from the Meiji era of western architectural inspiration: the former district offices (1881) and the former police station (1884). The highlight of the visit is the Sakai family Japanese garden, one of the most beautiful of Tohoku. The farm illustrates traditional rural housing and the Folklore Museum is home to an interesting ethnographical museum devoted to the world of fishing.
