Commissioned by the Catholic kings, the outside of the monastery is relatively austere. The interior by contrast is very representative of the Isabelline style, mixing the flamboyant Gothic with a few Mudéjar and even Renaissance touches. The cloister sports a noble allure with its flamboyant arcades and original Plateresque upper storey. The church sports ornate sculpted decoration by Juan Guas. Nearby stands the Puerta del Cambron.
