Opis

Capturing this hill was the principal objective of incessant offensives during the Great War. The largest French military cemetery unfolds around the huge basilica. The 1914-1918 Living Museum and the Lens' 14-18 Centre occupy this memorial site of major importance. The Ring of Memory mentions the names of the 580,000 soldiers who died in the region, regardless of their nationality. Sweeping the Artois plains with a ray of light, the lantern tower pays homage to them every night.
