Opis
Huddled around the church, Església de Sant Bartomeu i Santa Tecla, the old town of Sitges occupies the rocky headland of La Punta, which ends in a monumental staircase leading down to the sea. Behind the sanctuary are a few narrow cobbled streets dating from the medieval era, such as the delightful Carrer d'En Bosc and its remnants of the old city walls. But the majority of the old town's most emblematic buildings date back to the late 19C, when Sitges emerged as one of the bastions of Modernisme.
