Opis
Bathed in a Mediterranean light, the Valais region has Switzerland's highest peaks and biggest glaciers, plus Europe's highest produced wine and mot prestigious ski resorts (Zermatt, Saas-Fee, Verbier). The canton's impressive industrial development has not harmed the strong traditions in its valleys. In addition, tourism has made a major contributon to the local economy both in summer and winter.
