It is impossible not to fall under the spell of the enchanting Holy Cross district extending through the heart of Seville as far as the church of Santa María la Blanca. The former Jewish quarter during the Middle Ages, which was then occupied by Christians at the end of the 14C, the district is characterised by winding alleyways, picturesque whitewashed houses, secret flower-decked patios and tiny squares.
