This facility showcases 19C and 20C representational works by American, French and especially German artists. The galleries, lit by natural light, offer an appealing, intimate space for the quiet appreciation of art. The core collection of Munich School painters of the late 19C and early 20C is the most complete in the US; the movement's leaders included Franz Seraph von Lenbach and Wilhelm Leibl.
