This fascinating museum is one of the most popular in Florida. Inspired by the work of Dalí and the spirit of Surrealism, the remarkable building, inaugurated in 2011, consists of a steel and glass sphere that looks as if it is hovering. The very extensive collection boasts almost 2 150 works (including 96 oil paintings, as well as drawings, pastels, sculptures and photographs etc). It was bequeathed by the manufacturer A Reynolds Morse, who was a close friend of Dalí, and covers the artist's whole career. Video, films, temporary exhibitions, a library and, outside, Mediterranean gardens round off the experience.
