These beautiful 10ha grounds, which date back to the 17C, are planted with trees of many different species and flowers. The tropical glasshouses are home to a remarkable collection of plants. Among the most rare is the famous giant Amazonian water lily, Victoria regia, the plateau-shaped leaves of which can reach 1m in diameter in summer; its flower opens up white in the morning, becomes pink at midday and fades to mauve the same evening.
