Rodriguans hurry here before daybreak, sometimes coming on foot from far away, to buy colourful fruits and vegetables, rare imported goods, as well as fresh fish and a bit of meat. Sellers hawk their wares to passersby amidst much bargaining. All the fresh produce is gone by 7am, so it's best to arrive early.
