Archaeology enthusiasts will enjoy these ruins of an early 15C native Indian pueblo which was converted to Christianity by the Franciscans and includes remains of a 17C and 18C mission. Diagrams show the structure of the initial village, with over 20 kivas and 600 rooms on four or five floors, arranged in a rectangle around the Plaza. Note the presence of a kiva in the monastery - proof that the missionaries tolerated the rituals of those they converted.
