Opis
This small museum occupying a beautiful building (1976) designed by E. Stewart Williams houses a collection of modern art, including works by Picasso, Chagall, Dufy, Matisse, Braque and Calder, who created the impressive mobile in the entrance lobby. Contemporary art is represented by artists such as Anselm Kiefer, Anish Kapoor and Mona Hatoum. The extremely realistic sculptures of elderly American tourists sitting on a bench (the work of Duane Hanson) and the small collection of Native American pottery and basketry are also of interest.
