The lighthouse is built on a small fort on the furthermost promontory of a cliff. Behind and below a path cut into steps with a parapet and an iron staircase lead to a magnificent maritime site. You will see a jagged jumble spread out in front of you. On the right, notice the north beach where the waves sweep in as powerful rollers.
