Topped by a single, slender spire, a triple portico, ornate gables and gargoyles, this handsome edifice exemplifies the Gothic Revival style. Its graceful interior is embellished by magnificent stained-glass windows and a beautiful stone carved altarpiece. The capitals of the arcaded nave are adorned with leaves representing trees found in the McCord family garden. The "Promenades Cathédrale" shopping complex lies underneath the cathedral.
