Located about 10km south of Melbourne's CBD, the neighbourhood of St Kilda, its long beach, market and pier reminiscent of an English seaside resort, constitute the ideal place to kick back and potter around on a weekend or a sunny day. The bars and restaurants are clustered around Fitzroy Street and the southern part of Acland Street. If you feel like it, hop onto one of the rides at Luna Park, one of the country's oldest amusement parks.
