Opis

In this small cobbled square colourful wildlife, students, public entertainers and neo-punks sharing a cup of aguardiente all congregate in front of the psychedelic frescoes decorating the walls of the bars. A piece by Édgar Gamboa, Los Niños de Villatina (2003) commemorates the massacre perpetrated here in 1992 by a plain clothes police commando. A bust to the memory of the Cuban Manuel del Socorro Rodríguez (1758-1819), a pioneering journalist in Colombia, calls to mind the lives that violence has taken in the world of the press.
