The castle, hardly altered since its construction from 1485 to 1510, is a perfect illustration of the architecture of the first Renaissance in Normandy. Inside, the Museum of Normandy's Traditions and Arts provides a comprehensive overview of regional furniture from the late Middle Ages to the Second Empire, but also of all other aspects of the region's rich culture -fascinating. In the grounds, the Jardin Retrouvé is a contemporary reinterpretation of a Renaissance garden.
