Opis

A visit to the Mina Passagem involves plunging to a depth of 120m on a trolley lowered on a cable - quite a thrill! Between 1819 and 1985 the mine officially yielded 35t of gold. It has nine levels of galleries (30km in total) which descend to a depth of up to 410m. Your guide will walk you to a section of the gallery where you will discover an altar dedicated to the goddess Iansa and a small clear-watered lake (where it is possible to bathe). The experience is worth going out of your way for.
