The belvedere takes the form of a pleasant garden suspended like a balcony of the lower town with a panoramic view of the Baixa, the Tagus and São Jorge castle on the hill opposite (viewing table). Visitors can return to Praça dos Restauradores by the Calçada da Glória funicular.
