Situated in the former palace of the Counts of Azurara (17C), the museum tells the story of everyday life in Lisbon in the 17 and 18C through a series of small, intimate rooms, decorated with azulejos and frescoes. The rooms have Portuguese and Indo-Portuguese furnishings and house collections of silver, Chinese porcelain and several tapestries from the 16 and 18C. Level 3 contains a temporary exhibition room and a café with a welcoming patio.
