Opis

Situated in the Mojave Desert, this park covering an area of almost 400 sq mi is home to mountain ranges formed around 65 million years ago, following the collision of two of the earth's crustal plates - the older plate of limestone rock was partly thrust up over the younger sandstone plate. These round hills bare of any vegetation can be admired from a 13mi scenic road and 20 different hiking trails (30mi). Stunning views are guaranteed!
