Opis
Having made his fortune by equipping the armies of the Second Empire with godillots (shoes), Alexis Godillot went on to remodel this district. You will see St-Hubert house, the Moorish villa, the Anglican St Paul's Church and the Tunisian Villa (Av. de Beauregard), as well as former mansions: Hôtel des Palmiers (1884, now the Jean-Aicard high school (on Rue Galliéni), and the Hôtel des Ambassadeurs (Av. des Îles-d'Or).
