This is a sheltered beach situated at the bottom of a cliff protected by masonry, the top of which forms the parapet of the coastal streets. From the square (Largo das Ribas) which dominates the beach, a continually changing group of onlookers watch the fishing boats dock to unload their catches of fish or squid.
