Renowned worldwide for its impressive historical reconstructions, the Pergamon Museum is divided into three sections: the Museum of the Ancient Near East; the Collection of Classical Antiquities; and the Museum of Islamic Art. Don't miss the Pergamon Altar, one of the most admirable examples of Hellenistic art (2C BC); the processional way of ancient Babylon and the Ishtar Gate; the Umayyad Palace of Mshatta (Jordan, 8C); and the decoration of the "Aleppo Room" (Syria, 1603).
