Opis

The northern tip of Spree island is home to a stunning collection of particularly attractive and well-laid out museums. The inspired architecture is the result of a cultural policy that has resulted in the acquisition of one of the richest art collections in the world. The holdings include those of the Pergamon Museum, the Altes Museum, the Alte Nationalgalerie, the Bode Museum and the Neues Museum, so it's hardly surprising that UNESCO declared it a World Heritage Site. An ambitious restoration programme underway is scheduled for completion by 2025.
