This huge church is striking in terms of its simplicity and elegant vaulting. The chancel has stained-glass windows from the Manueline period (16C) illustrating scenes from the lives of the Vigin and Christ. The Founder's Chapel, with Flamboyant windows, houses the tombs of King João I and his wife Philippa of Lancaster.
