Nestled in a cobbled courtyard typical of historic Basel, this halt will delight lovers of antiquated museums with its creaking floorboards and old display cases, stuffed with ancient instruments and medicines, albeit poorly explained (and only in German). On leaving, you may regret that Basel, the capital of Switzerland's pharmaceutical industry, has not seen fit to showcase its main industry with more than this museum that is more charming than instructive.
