Opis

Gougane Barra Forest Park has a lake rimmed in mountains and the source of the Lee. The islet on the lake sheltered the hermitage of Saint Finbarr, the monk who founded Cork. On the Sunday after Saint Finbarr's Day (25 Sep), a pilgrimage goes to the chapel. Take the time to explore the many foot paths that riddle the forests and mountainous hillsides.
