The view from the summit of the cliffs of Cap Gris-Nez (Grey-Nose Cape) extends to the English coast. Cap Blanc-Nez is also visible to the right and the port of Boulogne to the left. Flocks of migrating birds can be observed in the autumn and spring. At the tip of the headland dotted with German pillboxes stands a 28m-high lighthouse whose beam is visible 45km away; it was rebuilt after 1945.
