Opis

The steps of this staircase with 233 steps connect the historical town of Auch with the lower town. Clearly inspired by the staircase of the Baroque gardens of the Villa Garzoni (1652) in Tuscany, it alternates lateral slopes and central flights of steps with multiple landings in between. It underwent a comprehensive renovation, completed in 2017, and is lined with over 400 vines, representing Gascony's viticultural heritage. There are lovely views from the different levels.
