Opis

Like the neighbouring Place des Héros, the Grand'Place is depicted by exceptional Flemish Baroque unity. Keen to maintain safety and architectural harmony, the aldermen decreed that all buildings had to be made of brick or stone with no overhangs or juts. Damaged during WWI, this splendid legacy has since been restored to its original state. Lively market on Saturday mornings. The oldest building, the 15C Hôtel des Trois Luppars, is found at n° 49.
