Opis
Housed in a former 15C orphanage, this modern museum provides a comprehensive insight into the history of Amsterdam through a collection of scale models, maps and paintings presented in an interesting and chronological manner. Special emphasis is placed on the Golden Century, while another section is devoted to the modern era and the city's incredible urban and social transformation. A fast motion movie shows the extension of this city built on sand since the 12C.
