The charming village of Altinkaya was built over the ruins of ancient Selge. All along the road here there are magnificent views of the snowy peaks of Mount Taurus which overlooks the Pamphylia plain. Hidden in the hills of Pisidia, in the heart of the splendid Köprülü Kanyon nature reserve, the ruins of the city of Selge are dotted around the forest. The only ruin in good condition is the theatre, a real marble jewel turned grey by the weather, the cavea of which overlooks some superb scenery.
