Opis

This magnificent feat of engineering was built under Trajan in 106 AD using huge blocks of granite and no cement. Only one of the six arches has been reconstructed, after having been dynamited by Napoleon's troops. The little temple built at one end and the triumphal arch in the centre are also Roman.
