Partially located in the former San Nicola monastery, this museum displays pieces found throughout the Agrigento region. Do not miss the colossal 7.5m-high Telamon (Atlantes), taken from the temple of Jupiter (of which there were once 38), or the Ephebe of Agrigente, a marble statue from 5BC, probably depicting a local winner of the Olympic games, a superb collection of Attic vases and the very beautiful crater of Gela (bowl for mixing wine).
