The jewel of the Parque Nacional da Chapada Diamantina, the Poço Encantado or "Enchanted Well", is a fascinating underground lake whose clear blue water runs to a depth of 30m/98ft to 60m/196ft. In the mornings, from April to September, a ray of sunlight bathes the cave in turquoise hues. No bathing.
