Mifuneyama Rakuen

Michelin Guide
Park or garden
The Michelin Guide's review
This garden's spectacular variations in aspect and colour depending on the season, white cherry blossom in April, multi-coloured azalea beds in May and red maples in November, attract countless visitors all year long. Then add a lake and Mount Mifune (alt. 200 m) in the background to complete the scenery. The garden was created in 1845 by Shigeyoshi, a descendent of the feudal lord Nabeshima and houses a luxurious ryokan. In summer, bamboos illuminate the site.
