  The Michelin Guide's review
Known as the "royal residence", A Kujumdzioglu's House is a fine example of the so-called "Plovdiv Baroque" style. Built for a wealthy merchant in 1847, it is now the home of the Ethnographic Museum. Apart from the magnificent façade, the interior alone is worth a visit. The tour takes in the large drawing room, a superb oval room boasting a ceiling decorated with the famous "Thracian sun", as well as other rooms decorated in the alafranga style. Among the collections of popular art exhibited, do not miss the jewellery, tools, embroidery, pottery, costumes, carpets and musical instruments.
