  The Michelin Guide's review
The oldest church in Leicester was begun in late Saxon times using old Roman bricks. The present length of the church dates from this period (note the small windows in the nave and sanctuary wall). The tower is 11 and 12C and was restored in 1905; the attractive south chancel chapel dates from around 1220.
