This unique and fascinating museum, the Ájtte, a Swedish mountain and Sami museum, is dedicated to the cultural heritage of the Sami (also known as Lapp, a name they reject) people and their environment (mountains, forests and rivers). The presentation of the collections is as important as the exhibits themselves, and includes an open-air presentation on the habitat and flora in the surrounding area.
