Built in 1892, the Old Red Courthouse is an elegant Romanesque mansion reminiscent of a small medieval castle. Dominated by a tall clock tower, it houses a museum dedicated to the history of Dallas and a tourist information office. Opposite, the Dallas County Criminal Court is a fine Renaissance-style red brick and white stone building (1913).
