  The Michelin Guide's review
The abbey's former presbytery was transformed into a castle in the early 19C by the last king of Württemberg, William II, who took refuge here from 1918, following his deposition. During the visit it is particularly interesting to see the extraordinary way in which this neo-Gothic building adapted to modern life: electricity in every room, a "fully-equipped" kitchen, bathrooms with hot running water etc. The kitsch decoration adds further charm.
